Justice First
Justice is not served and in particular victims of crime are not served when cases are lost or mishandled – all too often that is happening in our District Attorney’s Office.
The 18th Judicial District Attorney’s Office is one of Colorado’s largest law offices. Under Amy Padden it will be transformed into the best law office in Colorado: better training, more effective supervision and a vision of what can be.
A vigorous diversion program, drug court programs to encourage rehabilitation and a Veterans Court – non-violent offenders who deserve a second chance should be given the opportunity to earn that second chance. Amy Padden will settle for nothing less than an office that is a national leader in Criminal Justice Reform.
It’s long past time to do away with cash bail – Amy Padden will develop a program to end cash bail without endangering public safety.
Violent criminals will not only be prosecuted but prosecuted effectively – Amy Padden will demand accountability.
